DRC

My thoughts are with the countless thousands of families currently suffering the effects of conflict in the DRC.  As I work away here in Faryab, having discussions with people who are themselves poor and conflict-affected, I cannot help but think how much better off they are than those who are being displaced yet again due to violence in the DRC.  The news reports coming through on the BBC and the CBC are heartbreaking.  A diplomatic resolution and humanitarian intervention are both so urgently required.  The UN must move quickly to avert the very worst of a catastropic humanitarian crisis.
